The 2027 Fischer S-Bound 112 Crown/Dual skin Xtralite is the perfect ski looking for someone who needs the kick and glide of a classic ski, but the control and float of a touring ski. Featuring Fischer’s Crown pattern this ski is fast and efficient for someone looking for a do it all backcountry ski with few limitations. A full metal edge and deeper sidecut make this ski a dream to handle while descending and make it an easy platform to control.

Why we like it:

A versatile backcountry ski that offers loads of control and stability while not sacrificing efficiency or weight.

Who it's for:

This ski would be a great option for any level of skier looking for a backcountry ski to make their own lines or ski in some deeper snow, but still be able to take it to the Nordic center.

Highlights:

Fischer’s S-Bound lineup has long been a fan favorite for the true do it all ski. The full metal edge and all wood construction make this ski both durable and stable, but Fischer really manages to keep the weight down to make it a great option for long days in the mountains. The Dual Skin system allows for the user to utilize the Fische Easy-Skin or attach a full-length skin for maximum climbing performance.

Things to consider:

The generous sidecut and wider shape of this ski make it not the most ideal choice for someone looking to cruise around at the nordic center, but because of the light weight and generous camber this is certainly not out of the question for this ski.

Fit & sizing considerations:

For more grip when climbing, going shorter can help, while going longer will provide a faster glide. However, choosing the length that is the correct size based on your weight is recommended.
