- Details: This is an absolutely stunning salt and pepper set! The carnival glass has a bright amber color that Imperial Glass called Marigold, with a wonderful iridescent finish and metal lids. We all love a great carnival glass and this one does not disappoint, as you turn it, it changes from blue to pink to purple and gold, in some advertisements they called it "Rainbow Iridescent". Not only is the color gorgeous, but it is in the "Grape" pattern, with the renewed interest on wine and wine drinking, it's become one of the most popular patterns today. This color carnival glass was originally issued between 1927 and 1931, called Ruby Gold, but due to popularity, had a revival in the 1960's, and was re-issued as Marigold. They are both marked with the "IG" logo used to differentiate this re-issue from their classic carnival line. Absolutely perfect for Fall, a wine tasting or Italy themed party come to mind. We know you won't need a reason to display and use this beautiful set year-round! We also carry the rare, and very hard to find, butter dish in this pattern.
